Eleven youth travelled to the Michigan Trapshooting Association, Mason Michigan, on July 5 for the annual 2014 Michigan State SCTP & AIM Trap Shooting State Championship competition. The Senior Varsity squad composed of Matt Davis, Quinn Smoker, Taya Bower, Patrick Buffin, and Kane Stambaugh placed second in the SCTP competition. The team also took Second Place “Club Team”, a new award this year. Individually, Matt Davis won the SCTP High Gun award with a score of 197 out of a possible 200 targets and won a nice belt buckle for that accomplishment. On the AIM side, Matt was in a shoot-off for high gun with another youth and ended up taking the runner up trophy after two shoot off rounds.
